It really takes some humour to get up in the morning to not take
the rheumatism serious ... there is no joint to be replaced
unfortunately.

:-(

I find that 4 glasses of wine are a quite effective pain killer, but
the doctor wants me to knock it off :-(

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

The humor, though, is on the pain-pill prescription:

Take one tablet daily BY MOUTH.

Is there someone in the world who would try a different orifice ?:)

Yep, it sure is - but hip degeneration is inevitable irrespective of
cause - the GOOD thing is it can be fixed, an option denied to
previous generations. The really good thing about age is you do slow
down and get a better, more sensible perspective on the world - things
that once drove you up the wall become less important, you are more
clear in what you want to do, and hopefully you have the leasure time
to do them. The kids are off your hands and with any luck are
functional adults- and if they are thank whatever God you worship
because so many are not.
You dont believe in grand causes any more and regard all politicians
as lying bastards - and have your own interpersonal morality that you
use in dealing with the people that matter to you, and as courtesy to
the wider community. And you can see the subtle humour in pill bottle
labels.....

It aint ALL bad - I would hate to go through the turmoil of
adolescence again with every action governed by testosterone levels!
