Settings or bookmarks? (you can export bookmarks prior to the up/down-grade)

I usually save a copy of the profile and copy over bits of it,
as needed, to the newer/older installation.

TB is far more annoying to change versions -- esp for saved passwords!
What is TB??? I haven\'t seen any reference to anything with those initials here and I\'ve never heard of a browser by that name. TaseBook?

WTF? Do they still have a browser? I can\'t imagine it works with many sites. That\'s the problem with Firefox. They implemented the HTML 5 standard faithfully while the others add their own incompatible tweaks. A friend who codes HTML for a medical system, talks about how they have to support all manner of browsers and versions. It\'s a huge pain to come up with code that works for all the permutations.

It\'s a major testing lab. How does that make you feel?

Nobody really use TB, but i think it was the original base code for FF.

They changed their namf from thunderbird to firefox because the name was
already taken.

The stand-alone browser was originally named Phoenix. It would have
become Firebird, but that name was being used by a database.

Version could be an issue. Between successful Newark activity and

Does 103 work on Newark?

Not sure what rev was present pre- 103.0.2 , only that the specific rev was allowed to install itself on the 1st of the month. The previous rev DID work on Newark.

I normally dismiss notices of updates out-of-hand, but was trying to
get a govt weather radar service back up and running, at that time

I would suggest the ESR line.

\"Get rapid releases to make sure you get the latest features faster, or
go extended to ensure a super stable experience.\"

They also have the multi process model, which is a huge pain tn the ass.
palemoon does not have that.
unfortunately they all do this completely-static linking thing.

Does anyone know of a FF variant that integrates nicely
with the installed system libraries, instead of packing everything
it needs into a ginormous furball binary?

Netscape - Mozilla - Seamonkey all had browser - editor - mail handler
components.

Mail handler still installable seperately as Thunderbird.

Browser installable seperately as Firefox, though the relationship to
the Seamonkey browser has largely dissolved. Seamonkey browser
development was static for a few years, being updated only recently.

If you want to compose/edit web pages, you still need the full
Seamonkey package.

Are you guys mixing your stories? Wasn\'t Firefox derived from Netscape?

OK, TB is an email/news client sharing code base with FF.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Thunderbird

They are inspired by NS, but not really derived from.
