What else is on the body of the part. Mfr logo of any kind?

Where is it used/from?

Hi

There is a big T before the IC number.

It is inside a Toshiba XR-V12 cd player.

You get more hits by adding the N suffix but it's a toughie.

Is it possible it's an Asian clone of the PCM1723 ?

The TD6709N is a "16-Bit Digital-to-Analog Converter - For PCM Audio
Equipment" and appears to have been made by Toshiba. It was used in
Kenwood model DP460 and Luxman model D-102 CD players.
