I am in need of an RCA part #179585 TV tuner module for an RCA TV model
#CTC140AJ. If anyone has one available used or new but in perfect working
order of course please email me at bearmore@whidbey.com thanks in advance to
any and all that can help.

IIRC, the RCA schematics had the chassis number, with possibly one or
more tuners included, each with different features such as remote
control, etc. So you should really give the model number of the TV
instead, because the tuner is unique to that. Or else the actual model
number of the tuner. In any case, you may not have much luck, because
that's an old model.

BTW, there used to be several tuner rebuilders around the country that
would rebuild and realign a tuner for a nominal fee. But that was long
ago when I actually made some money fixing TVs. Nowadays, just toss the
TV and buy a new one at the Blue Light Special, or wherever.

But believe it or not, I'm still using an old RCA TV from the mid-'80s. ;-)
 
Try PTS Electronics for either rebuilding your original or supplying a
rebuilt, also look at your cross posts.
