Digikey is another US firm similar to Mouser but with an even bigger
range. For some reason I haven't used them much.

The reason is Custom Office. Mouser do all they can to help you -- you
pay once and forget about the issue, with DigiKey it's your problem.

Where did you get that weird idea?

I see the _final_ price, click on buy now, they use my Visa card and in
less than 2 days the UPS man rings my door bell. From Thief River Falls
to my small town in SW Germany. 36h on a good day.

regards, Gerhard

I can't get that delivery in the US unless I use overnight delivery or the USPS which has a Priority class which is not guaranteed, but usually gets here in 2 days while UPS and Fedex ground is 4 days. Go figure.

I even got a Priority package from California to here on the east coast in 2 days.

Are you paying for express delivery?

Hey, that's a 300A part in a 5x6mm package, for
pete's sake! How about PSMNR70-40SSHJ, 425 amps!

Moreover, it has leads! Would you believe it, leads!
Thermal strain has again a place to go, unlike in the, e.g., PowerPAK
SO-8 parts.

The fact that the SMD industry has recently re-discovered leads is so
uplifting! First in the case of MLCC caps, now power transistors.
Who knows, maybe there will be leaded CycloneV variants as well...

Best regards, Piotr

They even highlight that in the datasheet:

"LFPAK88 (8 x 8 mm) LFPAK-style low-stress exposed lead-frame for
ultimate reliability,
optimum soldering and easy solder-joint inspection"

Unfortunately, Nobel Price in Physics has already been awarded this year...

Delivery costs $16 or so; it's free if the value is > 50 or 60 €/$.
I always find more interesting parts than needed ;-)

Or 200PLN, which is 47EUR.

Same here. :)

I don't understand. Three quarters of the package is a copper plate soldered to the PWB with a very small amount of package remaining to the leads. How much thermal strain do you need to relieve???

Continuous, too! OMG. What a pity there's a problem with their re-vamped
site, though: I can't log in to buy any! Just about sums things up since
the takeover. :(
