Since ghosts are imaginary, you'd have to define all of their
properties. Depending on that definition, then you could analyze whether
or not the could.

I have heard ghosts being able to physically move objects... so maybe
they could push a few buttons on an electronic device ... or even to
short a few pins to by-pass components.... :)

Are they nothing but magnetic or static field detectors? I am no expert! :)

I did use 2 free iPod apps:

1. Ghost Radar Classic
2. Paranormal State

Could a ghost short itself?

Good point!

If a ghost was some sort of field and/or energy, would it? :)

Could planet Earth's magnetic field short itself? :)

How about the Sun? What's keeping its plasma from shorting itself?

I think there's a ghost because the diode exploded, the shattered pieces
of epoxy killing the errant hobbyist who put things in the wrong way.

I haven't met a ghost before! I heard that one needed some sort of
paranormal organ in your body (yin-yang eye in Chinese) to see it...

Would a troll mark a post as "[Maybe OT]"?

_You_ did, so the answer is obviously: "Yes".

The proof is that, of the 106 posts you've made so far, 106 seem to be
designed to elicit responses to which you can respond and thereby
increase your post count.

Either that or you're really very thick.

My needs are simple. If that humiliated the pride of electronic
engineering here, I was surprised!

In fact, you and the other 5 were more like defending the "holy land"
here, which was not my interest.

I am going back to resistors and LEDs for my toys.... :)

Your simple needs were addressed by competent people kind enough to
take time out of their lives to help you with good advice.

Your not-so-simple need for attention of any kind, as evidenced by
your trolling, has lead to your loss of face to the point where I'm
sure most now hold you in disdain.
---

In fact, you and the other 5 were more like defending the "holy land"

---
That it was not your interest became evident early on when your
flippant responses to helpful posts branded you as a poseur who'd
gladly flame and take a hit instead of acknowledging indebtedness for
the help, and therefore - in your mind - dissolve it, leaving your
future free of entanglements or debt.

But, with the help in hand, nonetheless.

Your interest was/is in self-aggrandisement instead of the search for
truth, which is why you don't consider this group to be "holy land"
but, instead, a playground for your vanity.
---

I am going back to resistors and LEDs for my toys.... :)
---
Toys are things you're supposed to have fun with, so I rather doubt
whether that'll happen.

There won't be so many shorts once summer is over. Except in Bermuda, of
course. ;)

Not everyone who post "waay out" topics is a troll. It's called "an open
