hello

I am trying to use the filter max7480, I made the circuit as per the
datasheet. But i am getting nothing in the ouput.
I tried capacitors in the clocking for internal clocking and also
external clocking. I tryied adding a 10k capacitor at the ouput but no
changes. Can someone help me making this chip working.

thanks

With a 1000pf capacitor on the clock pin check that it is oscillating.
If not check the power supply, try a new chip, check the shutdown
and DS pins with a multimeter with the ground lead actually on
pin 3, shutdown should be at 5v, DS at 0v etc

How are you applying a signal to the input?
You have to make sure the input signal stays within the
chip supply rails. You will damage the chip if you
apply a signal that swings negative relative to the chip ground
or if you apply a low impedance signal when the chip
does not have power.
eg connecting a signal generator with a DC coupled output
may force the input pin relative to ground.
