Looking for a photodiode with large surface area

Guest
Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a photodiode with a relatively large
surface area? Ideally something like this:

http://thequark.free.fr/harpe/photos/20.jpg

[If you look in the top right part of the board you can see a pretty
big photodiode just about the 14pin chip.]

Everything I've looked at so far is tiny. I need it to capture some
fairly diffuse reflections from a modulated laser beam.

(Which is exactly what the diode in the picture is doing)

(snip)

Digikey sells a wide range of photo diodes, including many
larger than that.
That one looks like a PDB-C107, PDB-C113, or PDB-C140
(optimized for photo conductive operation) or PDB-V104,
PDB-V113 (optimized for photo-voltaic operation)
