Julie is narrow minded

Chris Carlen <crobc@BOGUS_FIELD.earthlink.net> says...

That's forgivable. If I were you I'd consider a post, or a private
email to "Julie" to apologize.
Julie deserves no apology. She started a thread with namecalling in
the title. Once you start throwing shit, you deserve no apology when
someone throws shit at you.

To come full circle.

What does this have to do with electronics and why is there no
[OT] in the heading.
That is because my experiment failed. I thought that a buch of engineers
could have a discussion about how to post in such a way as to make things
easy for the reader. Nope. Unless you have the power to fire them for
noncompliance, you can't get engineers to agree on anything, no matter
how much sense it makes. You can't even get them to discuss whetger it
makes sense. :(

If it were shown by some ojective measure that I was, say, twenty
times better a circuit designer than you are, whould you then prefer
me to be a boy or a girl?
How cute would this girl be? :)

poof!

I suspect you're a girl, and I have yet to insult you.
OK, let me put to you a (purely hypothetical!) question:

If it were shown by some ojective measure that I was, say, twenty
times better a circuit designer than you are, whould you then prefer
me to be a boy or a girl?

John

or Joan

whatever.
--------

This doesn't deserve an answer, but......

1. I don't really care about, or think about, where you rank in the design
pecking order. You may well be twenty times better a designer than I. That's
nice. I yam what I yam.

2. I (nearly) don't care at all what is the sex of anyone. On the internet,
as in business, it has nothing to do with anything.

3. You are off-base considering my post insulting or a harassment. You have
a small character flaw. Something akin to I do believe you doeth protest too
much.

4. Now, arent you glad we had this discussion?

Guy -- check your facts.

I didn't start any thread about you or anyone else.

Maybe if threads were TOPICAL, we wouldn't have this grade-school confusion.

It merely invoked a hypothetical question.

You have a small character flaw.
I have large and numerous character flaws. Doesn't everybody?

4. Now, arent you glad we had this discussion?
Moderately. But all sorts of interesting (and arguable on-topic)
issues are being missed here.

It is on topic. The obvious and relevant issue is:

Why is electronic design almost entirely the domain of Caucasian and
Asian males?

Really, Guy, that doesn't make a bit of sense.

It doesn't matter, but if a girl, big tits and a tight box would be nice )

but you said it would only take a few to get things going in the
right direction. how can you admit failure so quickly?

I said it would only take a few to get things going in the right
direction - everyone else would just have to reply as they were
doing before- but that any one person could make it unworkable.

I used to jest that the sum of mammary tissue plus brain tissue was a
constant. Then I discovered that's not necessarily so, there's a
hair-color/suicide-blond term in there as well ;-)

As a lifelong admirer of smart, skinny women, I consider that to be an

What ever happened to Julie Laboratories? The last time I used a piece
of their gear, it was a gorgeous Kelvin-Varley ultra-precision voltage
source. It arrived a couple of months late, because they wouldn't ship
it until they were satisfied that the drift and everything were
perfect.
Was this before or after they did that comic book about Defense
Department procurement procedures that they featured on "60 Minutes"?
It seems that Julie wasn't happy about the DOD's preference for Fluke
equipment.
