Is this possible?

Is it possible to use a Stereo Plug as a electrical plug? Like be able to
run electricity to the jack and when you plug in the plug, it would receiver
electricity. Thanks in advance.

Sure, within it's voltage/current capabilities. OTOH, putting
anything greater than low voltage/current through an exposed,
non-standard connector is unsafe.

Only for low voltages of up to about 12 VDC, and Low currents of about 1
amperes maximum. However with an audio male connector there is a possibility
of a short and exposed voltages so I DO NOT RECOMMEND this use.

The normal center pin power connectors are inexpensive and you should consider
using on of them.

Well all that is going through it will be a 9VAC being powered through a Dc
to AC converter. How would I tell how much amperes is going through it?

Ya, I only plan on putting 9VAC through it.

Stereo plugs short out against the jack body when they are inserted or
pulled out part way. Some equipment makers used these in the past, and
the shorting caused the fuse inside the AC adapter to blow. And since
that's not user replaceable, the user had to replace the adapter. This
was _not_ what the user wanted, and consequently the equipment makers
learned the hard way that using this plug for power is a Really Bad
Idea.

Stereo phone plugs short momentarily when being plugged in. Some power
supplies can withstand this without harm, if they're low-current and
low-voltage.

FWIW< Use the appropriate connector just to be safe, Sure the current is
minimal and the operator is totally competent. However, things do happen in
the real world that even the engineers have a hard time determining why
afterwards. The correct connector is available very inexpensively via the
suppliers and Radio Shack.<
Remember, it is even able to check if lightning is really electricity when
using a kite and string, but that is another story!! or "History",Eh.
