I have two transmitters from R/C cars. Cheap ones, they are purchase as pairs,
one tranmits on a different freq. than the other and I want to combine them
inside a single control box. Can I simply connect both aerial connections to one
aerial or wouuld I need to put a diode in each of the lines?

No, the crosstalk and harmonics generated will render both inoperable.
Unless they are of such quality that they are totally digitally controlled
then the application may work. Having bought, as you say, cheap items, this
probably will not work properly.
