Could anyone help and point to me where I can get some slim size but
durable switches for mounting on the armest of theatre chair ? LED
indicator is required. I wish to find something like membrane type as it
does not have an body thus need little space inside the armrest. I
checked RS but seems no luck. COuld anyone help me ? Many thanks in advance

many keyboards use a trio of plastic sheets, conductive ink printed onto
two, the centre sheet with a hole. you could put a sandwich of plastic on
the seat arm, then just use finger pressure to make contact, instead of a
knobby plastic cup. altogether it would be about 1/6"-1mm thick, use heat
to melt the corners together, and some really good vinyl tape witha hole
in the middle to hold and cover it. next is the light, you can use,
instead of plain plastic for the centre sheet, electro luminescent sheet.
if you go through the trouble of actually making that kind of thing i'm
sure we'd appreciate links to pics. otherwise you could buy them like
that.
