I had an opportunity to discuss this with someone who felt the same way. Seems it is a matter of image. It is just not considered proper to be alone with someone of the opposite sex. I suppose the idea that you might be attracted to someone of the same sex is just completely repugnant for some so that they don\'t even need to consider it.
