help me with remote control emerson tv

I need to know the exact commands for each button on a emerson EWT19S2 i am
programming my remote that takes commands and i cannot find the commands for
this TV, all the universal remotes i have tried will not work with this tv.

You need the original remote. The universals will not get in to the deeper
functions.

If you have a remote called One-For-All, they have some extended commands,
that may do something for you. You have to call their 800 number for the
extended commands. This type of remote is a hassle to use, because you have
to use the function key and enter 3 digit number codes for the extra
functions.

If the set is still very good, I would strongly consider to invest in an
original remote. If it is not available anymore, then start checking out the
used electronics places, and the fleamarkets. I am sure that on the net you
should be able to find someone who is selling the model you need.

If NONE of the buttons on universals work it might be because the modulation
frequency is wrong. I had a similar problem with a Thomson TV but eventually
found a universal remote that would handle the basics.

Well i found a universal remote that works with the emerson tv, but i can
only do it on a automatic code search, it does not work with any of the
'emerson' codes provided..

im working on controlling the tv with infared computer port.. I need to
know the commands that are sent to the infared.

Where would i find such information?

These sites claims to have a remote for an Emerson EWT19S2 (model N0158UD
for around $30)

Perhaps you could buy one then build an IR Rx circuit to capture the codes
on your PC for later playback?

Another way would be to capture a few codes from the universal remote that
you have. Look at the structure of the data sent to work out what bits are
fixed. Then write a program that simply tries each code in turn until your
TV does something. Then you stop your program and write down the code and
what it does. There aren't usually many codes so this shouldn't take long.
