I've heard that VCR's are now being made even cheaper and shoddier than they
were a few years ago because they're 'on the way out'. I've got a Panasonic
DVD/hard disc recorder which is excellent so I haven't bought a VCR for
about 5 years. My last VCR was a Sony which is still a great machine. I'm
going to buy a new VCR for a friend and I just wonder if any of you know a
particularly good brand/model, or particularly BAD model to avoid. I fixed
one of those no-name VCRs a few weeks ago and it was so flimsy I almost
admired how far the technology has come since they first came out and
weighed about 8 kilos - this piece of puff pastry was about 800 grams.
Thanks,
Dean.
