Gerb,

You bought something that is not even worth 1/2 of $750, this is not even
worth $10.

The part is weakness MosFet, protected or not, it won't delivery the
current you wanted. Many products out there are over-rated, Mosfet of 90A
rating dies easily at 7a. You cannot dumb your stupidity here. Sorry man.

Ok. Weird. Winfield Hill? Sounds odd that he'd recommend using a main
electronics discussion group as a sales place. Not some
misinterpretation,
perhaps?

alt.lasers is very laid back about sales posts, judging them purely on
merit,
but never on the principle of post-or-not-post, so I'm used to the idea
that
a single private individual posting such might be fine, but when the
electronics discussion groups are so large and crowded at times, it makes
sense to keep sales traffic away from it, and I thought Winfield Hill
would
think the same way about that.

I have been poking around in the electronics news groups for close to
15 years. Admittedly I haven't been by this one for a while. It
seemed over run with OFF TOPIC spam. It is nice to know people
actually do use it for its intended purpose.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I had no idea this group had a
charter. I know that is no excuse. But, when others say why not
try. I guess I followed without question.

You will not see more of my adds posted here.

Never mind, Winfield Hill said this:

I disagree. There's very little activity on
sci.electronics.components; and for what is,
much is oriented towards reselling components,
which is well received. Over a 10-year period
I've visited sci.electronics.components for
both parts information and parts availability.
OTOH, I have to say I've _never_ visited
misc.industry.electronics.marketplace and
probably won't. It's far too broad a charter
for circuit-engineering components.

So, respectfully, I think some of the 15-year-
old charter rules are way off base at this point.
I say, let's let sleeping dogs lie, and go with
what works. Plus, getting sales activity off
sci.electronics.design is a good idea.

I agree with that, it's better that way than having to compete with people
trying to sell broken MP3 players and hell knows what else. I suggest an
amendment to the charter to allow people to point out their eBay listings,
provided that the seller is NOT registered as a business.

Not interested, and why should I be? If you'd done the observation you expect
me to do, you'd know that neither these groups, or s.e.b and many others are
for any kind of selling. This is old and common knowledge and I find it hard
to beleive that no-one told you this in response to anyone who suggested
otherwise, if not directly to you. You're being told now. Off-topic
discussion in threds between contributerts is just people being what people
are, friendly, tetchy, whatever, and digressing a bit. That's no excuse to
trying to use that forum (group) as your market stall.

For the life of me I cannot figure out what your problem is with this
listing. Is this not a components group? Is this listing not on-

well off topic. That upsets me too. You take the time to attack me
but not them? Just trying to go about this the right way. If you can
offer any USEFUL information as to where this add is best posted them
by all means say so. If not, please keep to yourself.

+1. Just degraded the signal to noise ratio there.... A point I tend to keep
in mind. When I post like this I usually try to post something more useful
nearby. Haven't seen you post at all, except to say this, at least in the
group I see this in.
