I was looking for some EEPROMS, and was wondering what the difference
is that would drive some, although spec'ed similarly, to be so
different in price?
For instance, I was looking for the following EEPROM's on Digikey:
IC SERIAL EEPROM SPI 8K X 8 8DIP
One by Atmel (PN: AT25640-10PI-1.8) was $8.71, while one by Microchip
Technologies (PN: 25LC640-I/P) was $1.08! And the $8.71 had a slower
speed?! What gives? Both were for a quantity of "1"...
Maybe this link will work here:
http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Criteria?Ref=215397&Site=US&Cat=31523508
What's the big difference?
Any insight would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
