Well, isn't this the Grandest Cosmic Irony of all! Here, on the day I
swear off promoting my new religion of feelings on the NG, along comes
Kevin Aylward, of all people, expressing "Really Feel"ing emotion.

Now, rather than "stand back" and feel it, *be* the part that actually
*experiences the feeling*, and give unconditional acceptance to the
feeling - it _is_ there to tell you about reality, after all.

Yes, for the light.
I will have a power detector that will convert the laser energy to a
pulse of voltage, and I will need a Sample and Hold Circuit to measure
it.

Grab a 12 gauge, a long string, a tripod, and a tripod mount.
Eat the results for dinner and everybody is happy.

If you want to be a "saint," then that's an entirely different issue. But
you gotta eat.

Personally, if it presents itself to me as food, I eat it if it smells
good and tastes good and I'm hungry.

So let the Kosher Rabbis kill the cows. If God hadn't intended us to eat
meat, why did He make it taste so good?

Slightly off-topic, but for the last month I've been setting off the door
alarms at the local Wal-Mart while passing through them, and have been
seareched several times.. Nobody could figure out why, until a elderly
passer-by said, "are those steel soled shoes...thats whats doing it!". The
store security guy and I tossed one of my shoes through the door sensors,
and it promptly set off the alarm. Seems like my size 13 steeled soles are
a
perfect match to the antishoplifting tags....just much harder to hide.

actually the retailers do not want to pay the money for the machines
that deactivate the RFID


according to this site a microwave will kill, but they also say $20
bills blow up when hit them with the nuke

If you are looking for a flexible backlit display technology, you'd be
better off tracking development of flexible OLED (FOLED) displays instead
of LCDs. OLEDs do not require backlight at all as they are emitting
themselves, and they seem not so distant from a real-life product. I'm not
sure but someone may already have created a prototype (which you'd have to
pay and arm and a leg for right now ;-))

Google OLED. There are some products already using them. I don't know
about their availability in standard formats and small quantities.

From what I've heard, OLED technology has some life issues. They work OK
for displays that aren't on continuously, or in throw-away products. If
yours isn't either of these, I'd design it to make replacement easy and
maybe the next generation OLEDs will get better.

and needs work. Perhaps a gif file (always better than
jpg for drawings), or an Acrobat vectorized version?

Yes, it seems if I used a gun and made sparrow McNuggets everyone would
be satisfied. I think they use a nailgun on cattle. Don't know what
they use on poultry.
