Crunchy peanut butter is better than plain

The damn peanut butter has deteriorated in quality. Now if you put
peanut
butter on hot toast it all runs out like oil.
Peanut butter now has to much vegetable oil added.
What really pisses me off there is no way to know if it is imported or
Australian peanuts.

Grind your own in a kitchen blender. All it takes is a bag of
unsalted peanuts.
You could also grow your own. But don't let the government know.

Like peanut butter! Depending on the result, perhaps you should
add a (very) tiny bit of water or oil.
Commercial peanut butters add "sugar, fully hydrogenated vegetable oil ...,
and corn syrup." (Stater Bros.Creamy Peanut Butter). The "organic" penaut
butter available form Henry's Market (no relation) across the street form
Stater Bros. add nothing, but you have to stir the oil back into the butter
everytime you open the jar.

Is it forbidden to grow peanuts?

You need a quots from the government.

They aren't giving out any more, since they guarantee a price way above the
world market price.

Ah, you just need to find a good, quality peanut butter! I go for
Trader Joe's Smooth, Salted PB. Although, some of their almond and
cashew butters are a real treat!

Just couldn't get by without TJs!

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Did you ever put PB on a dog's nose? (They really don't mind. It only
makes them cross-eyed for a short time.)

For a more profound effect, put plenty of PB on one slice of bread. Give it
to a dog, PB side up. It will stick to the roof of his mouth and keep him
joyfully entertained for quite some time.

Good way to possibly suffocate the dog.

Our new puppy got a piece of rawhide chew-stick stuck to the roof of
her mouth and went frantic. Had to pry her mouth open and remove
it... got bit thru my thumb in the process :-(

Nope, not when growing it for your own consumption.

There's a "Got Milk?" TV commercial around here that kind of ooks me
out - some kid lets his dog lick his spoonful of peanut butter, and
for the rest of the commercial, that poor dog tries to lick the
peanut butter off the inside of its mouth. Isn't that cruelty?

Giving a kitten a piece of scotch tape can provide some minutes
of amusement as well. ;->

Cheers!
Rich
