Chirping noise from rear of TV...

Using a Panasonic CT-27HL14. I figured this would be a better place
to ask this question...

After 20 minutes, a slight chirping/squealing noise from the rear of
the set will begin. This can be affected by jostling the set or
propping it up on something. It seems to change pitch dramatically
depending on the pressure applied to the chassis.

I have talked with another person who also purchased this set and the
problem is exactly the same for them. The set is 2 weeks old and is a
Panasonic CT-27HL14 (a model that was released the very first week of
May). Outside of this issue, there are no additional flaws present
and this sound does not affect the image quality.

Any insight?

Most likely a coil or ferrite bead is oscillating after it warms up; annoying,
but not a problem for continued usage. Only way to fix is pull the back and
gently probe suspect components with a plastic or wooden stick (chopstick)
until you hit the one singing; usually a little RTV silicone applied to the
offending part will change it's mass enough to dampen the vibration...
Be careful if you intend to do this yourself!!! There are hazardous and
potentially lethal voltages present, even after set is off and UNPLUGGED.

Either exchange it for a new one under warranty, or take it in for warranty repair.

Agreed!! Still under warrenty, have them have a go at fixing it for free
rather than you voiding the warrenty by attempting yourself. Sealant applied
to the devices will quiet them but have it done under the product warrenty.
