Can I fix this receiver?

I know. Just trying to make absolute sure that it's broken.
If there's nothing left for me to try, garbage day is Thursday.

I think that the other obvious option is to have it properly repaired or at
the very least you should TAKE it to a repair shop for a repair cost
estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decision with facts instead
of internet or telephone guesses.
