I think you can get adapters. However, I'd like to keep things simple
and non-bulky. This PC will never have a monitor setup that goes beyond
VGA capabilities.

I'm uncertain that's the most future-proof solution; VGA (analog video) is not
intrinsically compatible with LCD displays, is mainly supported nowadays
as a legacy interface. Low-end TVs might have NTSC composite, not
VGA, but always will have a digital (HDMI) DVI-D compatible input.

Our TV sets all have a VGA input. The newer ones also have HMDI but not
the older sets. All except for two large computer monitors are VGA-only
so the computer outputs also should be VGA. I could have gotten the same
NVidia NVS 300 with 2x DVI but that would not make sense here, then I'd
need to buy extra adapters.

We practice a sustainable use of assets, meaning no throwaway unless
broken beyond repair. Some gear reaches a remarkable age in good repair:
