Alternatives to 2N6650

I'm building a closed loop controller for a manually controled servo
motor and the circuit calls for a 2N6650. Unfortunately these are as
rare as hens teeth these days. Can anybody recommend a suitable
alternative, or how to use a pair of more common transistors to do the
same job?

TIP146 in a fine replacement, but has TO-3P instead of TO-3 case.
