I'm interested in an adjustable switching power supply for use with some
peltier TECs to use in conjunction with a temperature sensor in order to
avoid abrupt cycling. If anyone has pointers to a (hopefully affordable)
setup that can provide up to 6 or 7 amps at 12 to 15 VDC from a 120VAC
source, I'd appreciate it.
I've thought of regular adjustable regulators, but adding the
inefficiencies of the step-down transformer, the inefficiencies of the
regulator, and the inefficiencies of the TECs makes it just a bit
distasteful. ; )
