I have 89 pieces of these Via C3 800MHz socket-370 CPU's that are a
replacement for the Intel Pentium III processor.

With an optimized design and ultra low power consumption, the VIA C3
processor is the coolest (producing less heat) running x86 processor on the
market. This, combined with robust application performance, full Socket 370
compatibility, and good reliability, has contributed to the VIA C3 processor
gaining increasing market acceptance as the ideal solution for a growing
range of desktop Value PCs, notebooks, high-density servers, and the
emerging new generation of Digital PC Appliances. However, in Europe and
U.S, competitors are holding bigger share of the market than VIA. The C3
processors have mainly been successful in China and Japan where the wireless
market is more dominating.
"The VIA C3 processor has steadily built up a reputation for unbeatable
reliability and long-term value," commented Richard Brown, Director of
Marketing, VIA Technologies, Inc. "With the introduction of the new 800MHz
version, this trend is sure to continue."

This is the first processor in the world to be manufactured using 0.13- and
0.15-micron manufacturing processes, and boasts the world's smallest x86
processor die size. As the coolest running processor on the market today,
the VIA C3 delivers ultra low power consumption and very good stability. It
is fully Socket 370 compatible and is available at speeds of up to 800MHz.
The processor also comes with 128KB Level 1 and 64KB Level 2 full speed
cache, as well as support for a 100/133MHz FSB, MMX and 3DNow! multimedia
instructions to ensure robust levels of performance for all the most popular
mainstream software and Internet applications.

These are all brand new and on the original Via factory trays! Heck, there's
probably a couple of bucks worth of gold on them too. This is a value for
low power/cost systems!

They're on Ebay! Here's the link.

AMD has the largest market share right now, followied by Intel. These 2
make up most of the market, with less than 1% left for *all* other
processors combined. And Via's share of that remaining 1% isn't much of
a "market acceptance".

So don't try to kid us. The likely reason why you have so many of them
is, well, because nobody else *wants* them.

Those CPU's look like something interesting for a Linux-based project.
