So it stands to reason they don\'t fear tornadoes much either. I wonder if they have anything in their building code that requires protection from tornadoes? Most likely too many people demand their freedom from intrusive building codes.

Nebraska farmers had the old root cellars to hide in during storms in the old days. Basements replaced those as

I should have said how many are under 75 with fewer than 3
comorbidities. Most \"Covid deaths\" have 3 or 4.

Or how many died of Covid like Colin Powell, with cancer.

If Colin Powell\'s grandson was taking cover in a bathtub and the house
blew away and the kid was thrown 100 feet, I suspect the family would
think that was worse.

Or if he was one of the kids who committed suicide due to depression
linked to the lockdown, they\'d think that was worse too.

That\'s the lockdown that was necessary to keep people from their jobs
where they come in contact with a few people each day, while supermarket
employees came in contact with 100s of people per day and didn\'t get
sick. So what if they lost half a year\'s income.

This is Kentucky\'s worst tornado storm ever - thousands of people, who survived the tornados, have had their lives turned upside down forever. If you were one of them I guarantee you wouldn\'t be worried about COVID.

If you were one of them I guarantee you wouldn\'t be worried about COVID.

Likewise, this pandemic is the worst Kentucky has ever seen. If you were one of the people who were laid up in a hospital ICU for weeks and still suffering from long Covid after three or six months, you wouldn\'t be too worried about the relatively minute risk of a tornado. The typical number of tornado deaths is 80 in a year in the US. Not 800,000, just 80. That\'s my point. We get all riled up over something sudden and violent but very limited in scope, while ignoring something that is much more devastating and ongoing. Yeah, 800,000, a 1,000 times more deaths and counting!

As usual, people here jerk their knees rather than try to understand what I was saying.

It reminds me of how people got so worked up over the Boston bombing which even if it was very devastating to those impacted, affected a relatively small number of people. Only two days later a massive ammonium nitrate explosion in a plant in Texas that killed and injured many, many more was all but ignored by the masses. The Boston bomber was much more dramatic with a man hunt, etc. Great TV news stuff, 24 hour coverage even though there was little to report. The Texas plant fire was under control in a relatively short time and no one really cared to hear much about the investigation about it possibly being terrorism.

Tornadoes and mad bombers are dramatic and newsworthy. Nearly two year old pandemics and factory explosions are not news no matter how many they kill.. Now, find a few cases of Ebola in the US and see if people get worked up about it. Do you think people would refuse an Ebola vaccine if we had one? Probably so, they would claim it was made from unicorn embryo horns.

I\'m just reporting what some religious people actually do
to other groups, in the name of their religion. For examples,
see history books and newspapers.

But an omnipotent God could have prevented them being in
distress in the first place.
