I have an old Zenith Sentry 2 TV. Is there a vertical adjustment for the
picture?

Thanks.

Possibly, there may be internal adjustments on one of the circuit boards,
model number would be of assistance to really ascertain the answer to your
quest.

Thanks for the reply -- the model number is SS6045W. I'm not sure how old the
set is, but it is still working well except that the picture is a little off
from top to bottom.

There are variable resistors on the main circuit board, probably on the
right side when viewed from the back of the set. One will be horiz size and
the other vertical size. However, if he vertical size has been changing it
is probable that components have changed in that circuit or in the power
supply to the vertical circuit. Inclusive are the electrolytic capacitors.

You have three or four capacitors that are failing and need replaced
immediately, unless you want to spend more money replacing the other parts
that are going to fail soon due to the weak capacitors.

Pretty straightforward repair for even a novice technician as the vertical
circuits are one of the first covered in any tv repair book or class.
