I HAVE THIS SET FOR REPAIR, WHEN TURNED ON THE SET HAS HV WITH NO
PICTURE AND SMOKE WAS COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE P.C.B.
WHEN I LOOK AT THE PCB I SAW THAT SOME SORT OF LIQUID HAVE BEEN
SPILLED INTO IT. I HAVE CLEANED THE P.C.B ON BOTH SIDE IN THE HOT
AREA. I CAN SEE UNDER THE PCB THAT IT WAS BURNED BETWEEN TO TRACES.
I HAVE TRIED THE SET AND IT WAS WORKING GOOD, BUT AFTER I WHILE
ELECTRIC SPARKS WAS COMMING OUT FROM THE HOT AREA AND I CAN SEE SOME
LIQUID COMMING OUT FROM THE LIQUID COOLER ASSY(THE PREASURE VALVE IF I
CAN CALL IT THIS WAY) FROM THE BLUE GUN.

SHALL I REPLACE THE COOLER ASSY????
IS IT THE TUBE THAT CAME TO HOT????
CAN I REFIL THE COOLER ASSY???
WHAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE????

Replace Blue CPT, Blue Crt Drive pcb, and deflection/power pcb. Cleaning at
this point will not assure a positive repair.

I found ancient runes from Rejean Nadeau[rejeannad@hotmail.com] in the floor of

First and foremost, fix the caps lock key in your keyboard.

I have this set for repair, when turned on the set has HV with no
picture and
smoke was coming out from under the p.c.b.
When i look at the p.c.b. I Saw that some sort of liquid have been
spilled into it. I have cleaned it on both side in the HOT area. (I
can see under the pcb that it was burned between two traces).

In this case the cleaning solve the problem, but i am more concern
about the crt cooling assy, because the set was working good until the
liquid start coming out from it (the preasure valve, blue gun).

I realy don't know, what to do with this cooler assy, if someone have
saw this before, i would like having is input.

Thanks

Sorry for the caps, i have never realy paid attention to this and it
was my firts posting please don't be to hard.

Zenith has (had?) a revision kit for this that was essentially a plastic cover
cap with a nipple, and a length of tubing that was to direct the leaking
coolant away from the boards. This should be added to any of these.

As far as the leak goes, you have to remove the rubber bladder and replace it,
then add the mod.
