Yellow LED availability

I've been told that there is an imminent world shortage of yellow
LEDs, and for this reason it is advisable that everyone buys up all
remaining available stocks.

Could anyone advise as to whether this is true?

News to me. MPJ has been dumping yellow at sub .01cent pricing. Not

very smart if there is going to be a shortage, AND none of our suppliers
has mentioned and problem with pricing or availability of any LEDs.
