Hi folks, I've been asked by a neighbour to fix her sound system that
stopped when she removed a cover to retrieve a stuck tape. The unit is
a 2 piece system, Yamaha TCD-GX5 & KMA-GX5
The problem is no output, (simple, I hear you say). I have a CD
running, sound level led display bouncing around, input to the power
amp i.c. (Sony STK4152 II.)
The manual says that it has an "internal protection circuit" but if
this is the problem, it doesn't reset with a power disconect that the
manual say's it should.
I have no circuit diag. nor a data sheet on the STK4152
The unit is designed in such a way that it is not possible to access
the underside of the PCB without major surgery, something that I'm
reluctant to do, There is a limit to the free time available to
neighbours,
If anyone can suply any info, it would be greatly appreciated & also
a URL for a data sheet for the power amp.
