Consider the JED prom programmer (www.jedmicro.com). At $300 new, you
probably won't get much cheaper second hand. I don't have any association
other than that of satisfied customer. I've used this product and others
from this company. They're reliable and the people are honest and
professional.

Cheers,

I sort of had one of them once .. was not complete ..never completed it
..and in the end give it to someone ..(dse ONE)

I was wondering if a PIC based PROGRAMMER one would be easy to make
...probably use just one PIC chip, an EPROM socket and serial interface
to a PC .. or maybe use a PIC to emulate an EPROM (smaller size ones
obvously) ..that sits in a MADE UP 24 or 28pin socket ...that you just
program via serial port and then stick the PIC(socket) in a board that
accepts the normal EPROM 2716,2732 etc.. have not looked into all the
technicalities of it .. but should be possible ..

Had a quick look on the web if someoe has done it but did not have any
luck ..

DSE do have a couple:

and

The one for $129 sounds like the go.
