Does anyone have a 6mhz crystal they could sell me?
I know of a few places I could order from but since I only need the
one part it would end up costing about $10 - $15 dollars.
I'm trying to fix a cheap but no longer available digital camera I use
for aerial photography.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

How did you determine that the crystal is bad?

Well, when you accidentally pop the cover off you can pretty much
guess there might be a problem.
I had put some goop in that area and, not realizing what components
were there, I tried to remove the stuff.
I'm guessing at the 6mhz. The thing was marked .s006 and someone else
said with the usb connection on the camera the crystal should be a
multiple of 48mhz. I've got a 12 and 24mhz and they both let the
camera power up but the images are very dark, white and purple and
have horizontal scan lines. I'm hoping the 6mhz will work.
Thanks.

Well, if you wouldn't crash land the thing all the time, maybe the xtal
would keep working..

Any help would be appreciated.

No, no crash landing. In fact I havent crashed a plane for a number
of years now. Although I did get a 40" DLG stuck in a tree a couple
days ago. It was only 20' up so a short climb was all it took.

I have a couple in my stash I can send you.
They are 1/2 can size, measure about 1/2" tall
and .400 wide, pulls from something.
Let me know!! John in Huntsville, AL

Dave,

Find an old PC-AT keyboard. Most of them has a kind of 8048 micro inside
running on a 6MHz xtal.
