Wine Chiller

Hi,

I've had a look at Breville Chill Out wine chiller, it has this special
"chill cell" technology. It claims to chill a bottle of wine in 8 minutes.
That's not bad, for $60. I wonder if I could use this as source of cold
water for use in a personal air conditoner. Instead of putting in the bottle
of wine I use a stainless steel container about half full of water and put a
mesh over the top of the steel container and place a filter across that. And
then drag air through it with a fan placed above the cooler opening.

Sounds good, but is it practical? It's only for personal use when it gets
hot and sticky during the summer months. I've thought of attaching a special
rubber hose with a fan mounted at the opening at one end of the hose to suck
cool air from the wine chiller (or in this case the peltier fridge).

Are wine chillers a reliable source of chilled water?

noyb

Net effect will be to make you hotter, unless you can somehow keep
the waste heat from mixing with the cool air.

Forget it !!
They only have a Knats fart of power and if you read the instructions they
have to have ice fut in anyway for the quick chill.

Depends on which cooler. There are three models, and one of them doesn't
require ice and does the job in 8 minutes.

Cheers
Ben
