Why Jefferson Is Critical for Engineers

Design should serve the needs man.

Without Jefferson, you aren't serving the needs of man. You are
serving nonsense or even worse, despotism.

Sentence should the sense make.

Try this one:

"For I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against
every form of tyranny over the _mind_ of man."

-- Jefferson

A little Jefferson will go a long way in promoting money making
patents.

Bret Cahill

Sounds to me like patents are "tyranny over the _mind_ of man."

We'd be much better off without them. Copyrights are fine,

Post your money making copyrights. A text book on fields rehashing
what everyone already knew will work.

It looks a lot like you are trying to pull something very similar to
violating Rule 11 of the Fed. R. Civ. Proc. when disreputable types
try to snooker the federal judiciary they get summarily tossed for
failure to sign the court documents..

Judges hire graduates out of law school and their job is not very
lofty. Their job is mostly to check to see if the papers were
actually _signed_.

Lurkers and posters are no different than judges. A photo of a
computer card is as worthless here as Al Gore in a dust devil.

As worthless as an unsigned affidavit.

Bret Cahill
The physical design of the board matters, and it's protected by
copyright law. As is its manual, schematic, firmware, and FPGA design.
And probably its register layouts.

And it's not "a computer card."

How dreary and demeaning it must be to be a law clerk. To design great
electronics, all you do is do it.

True. It ain't as glamorous as an Harliquin Romance Novel.

But without that signature the clerk alert the judge -- here it would
be lurkers -- and he gets your fanny tossed.

The signature is kind of like a lynch pin. It ain't as excitin' as an
excitin' Hollywood action movie but if it ain't there you ain't going
nowhere.

And it ain't there.

You discovered another way to get your sphere of influence down to the
size of a ping pong ball but you probably shouldn't try to copyright
it.

Sentence should the sense make.

Bullshit. He had little knowledge of science, so he's just like you.

Bullshit.  He had little knowledge of science,
Jefferson was a polymath, that is, he was accomplished at everything.

"The feeble engines of despotism" anticipated gas turbines.

Economic insecurity fuels the ignorant religious right which votes for
the GOP which creates economic insecurity which fuels . . .

The compressor feeds the combustor which powers the turbine which
spins the compressor . . .

Yawn. Most of today's scientific disciplines hadn't even been
thought of. Even if he knew everything for his time, he would still be
a moron in today's world. That must be why you fantasize about him.
He would be as ignorant as you are.

BTW, I heard you finished two of 'The world's largest hamburgers' for
lunch.

It's "Toqueville" this, and "Jefferson" that,
and "science" he talks about, right through his hat.

And slot cars on highways, and doing his bid,
though yet he's done nothing but play with his fid.

Alludes to the law, but practices not,
"advising" instead, since no sheepskin he's got,

to follow him down to the depths of despair
and strangle with him where there's no room for air.
