Hi
I am trying to start Virtuoso XL from layout window, I choose
tool->layout Xl, but failed and the CWI window shows : "pcells can not
be edited using VXL, Virtuoso XL is not enabled". I think I installed
the VXL with cadence, but I do not know why this happened. May someone
tell me the possible reason?
Thanks!

The answer to your question is in the message you quoted: "pcells can
not be edited using VXL, Virtuoso XL is not enabled." You cannot use
Virtuoso XL to edit a PCell. Try starting it in a cell that is not a
PCell.

Thanks! I found that a little later, and felt myself stupid. :)
