The ARM processor architecture is a 16/32 bit microprocessor design sold by
ARM Holdings PLC to a number of silicon manufacturers who then produce
actual chips based on this bit of intellectual property. It contains a RISC
CPU. ARMs are used in many PDAs and in many larger embedded systems (those
that can justify the price).
