Hi,

some ( like me) know him as a long time poster here.
John is \"pommy\" engineer with a strong interest in audio and other things as well as a UK standards committee person.

See his web site here;

http://www.woodjohn.uk/

John once paid me the compliment of being \" a strong arguer\".

There are lots of more polite forums on the topic of EE, but the problem
with many of them is no one knows much of anything.

Reddit\'s sub on the topic is one example, 175k members and close to zero
useful/interesting content:

<https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricalEngineering/>

I asked a regular there once why there weren\'t more serious posts on
circuit design and he got defensive and said something like \"Real
working EEs have no need to discuss anything about our work on forums,
we have our own internal contacts for that.\"

Ok
