Whirlpool washer stops repeatedly

I have am AWM6100 that stops repetedly during a cycle - the stop/start
button flashing. Pressing to start may last for as little as one rotation of
the drum and then it stops again. I guess something is interrupting the
'hold in' circuit - possibly the door switch. Anyone got a circuit of this?
