Dear Friends,

which is preffered,

Between mealay and moore state machines? And why?

Between RTL coding and schematic design entry?and why?

I think for the 1st question the hardware for moore is more than melay(as
moore statemachine requires 3 always blocks). So melay is preffered.
Am i right?

I will be waiting for your replies.

Thanks & Regards,
krs...

Forget that you ever heard the words "Mealy" and "Moore." They are
only important for textbook writers who don't do any real-world design
work.

Your schematic capture program will be obsolete a month before you need
to revisit your old design, and newer versions of the tools won't read
the old design.

Comments in schematics are painful.

Simulate a schematic? Hmmmm.

Revision/source-code control with schematics is difficult. Lemme see
you diff two versions and get a meaningful output.

Synchronous state machines can be written using one always block.
Again, forget this "Mealy" vs "Moore" nonsense.
