Buying new CRTs for this TV is a total waste of money. I've scrapped several
of these, and saved nothing from them, since I won't bother to service them
anymore.

I would check ebay for parts donors, as there are plenty of these dropping dead
all the time. The problem is that you might need at the very least two donors,
as CRT failures are common.

That bad for Samsung rear projector TVs? I have yet to see a old
samsung projector in for estimate. What is the usual "lifetime" on
these? Not all Samsung proj models is bad unless I'm mistaken.

We're samsung authorized shop doing printers, monitors and TVs and
Projs. So far they do fine except for few low end models. YUK.

Thanks,

I don't think they've been manufactured for very long, old ones may not exist.

I'm not sure, but the first 5 we took in for repair had three of them scrapped
for shorted CRT and def modules. Way to much money for this type of TV. So no
Samsungs accepted anymore.
