Yeah, for a while they rocked. They've started locking more and more away
though.
I've had decent results with a google search, depending on the popularity of
the part.
http://smartdata.usbid.com/ has something, although I haven't had any luck
with it so far.

Dial electronics in the UK <http://www.dialelec.com> now has free
datasheets, too. No idea how long it will last.
