is this 3.15 amp fuse still OK or short circuit?

if the answer is yes,
is there a plain wire?
or is there a little thing half way along the wire?
or is the wire look like it is made of small diameter spring?

if the fuse "went"
is it clear inside?
or is the fuse black inside?
or is the inside of the fuse silver and black covered?

If you the fuse is black inside, it sounds like there is a fault on the
appliance you took the fuse from, and since you don't know anything about
fuses, it might be best to take your appliance to a appliance service
center, as there is something faulty inside the appliance and putting
another fuse in might make the appliance damage worse.

Ronie, it's a surface mount fuse of a solid color yellow and it is open
circuit.
A teensie thing mounted on a circuit board in a camcorder.
Thanks for trying to help.

Try something like a 2-4 ohm 1/8 wat resistor
just for testing.
