I don't want a book mainly talking about the synthesizable syntax but
want some books with good design examples. My problem is I don't know
how to design a circuit in Verilog RTL subset. Thanks!

You may find my book "Real Chip Design and Verification Using Verilog and VHDL,
2002 isbn 0-9705394-2-8 " as it address design issues and examples (lots...)
for synthesis and TB.
Book does NOT teach Verilog as a language, but more on how to apply it for real
designs.
See TOC at my site.
