What Tektronix product uses a CRT identified by the Tektronix part
number 050-1601 00 ?

It may be used in one of the smaller scopes.

Thanks.

www.reprise.com has a real nice scope-to-CRT search function:

http://www.reprise.com/host/tektronix/reference/crt.asp

The problem is that all Tektronix-CRT numbers start with 154 instead of 050 :-(

050 prefix is a MOD kit P/N that would include a CRT with the normal 154-
xxxx-xx part number. The CRT should have a label on it with a 154
number,and a MFG date code. format wwyy;4487 = week 44,yr 1987.

If you have the mod kit,look at the kit instructions or the CRT to get the
CRT P/N.

Jim,

Thanks for the tip. I have factory sealed Tek boxes labeled
050-1601 00. After opening one of the boxes, I saw it
contained a CRT with a Tek part number 154-0859-00, but
this part is not found in the database I queried:

<http://www.reprise.com/host/tektronix/reference/crt.asp>

Any idea which Tek scope uses CRT 154-0859-00 ?
Thanks.

I found the answer here:
<http://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/tek-crts.html>

This tube is used in the Tek SC 504, an 80 MHz scope.

I have the NOS tube(s), but no SC 504 :)

SC504 is a TM500 based scope module.
BTW,I believe the instruction sheet should have said what scope the kit was
for.

SC504 uses 154-0730-05 CRT.

So ,as Jim already mentioned, it's a modified CRT for SC504.

I guess with this information, you'll easily get it sold in ebay, if you want.
