What is this 4 a connector

Hi,
I'm looking for a mfg, number or more details on a connector.
I try to describe the connector.
Assume small pins soldered in the pcb at regular intervals. Let's say 5
pins, interval 2.5mm.
The connector that mates these pins is in one piece.
Connections are made by soldering a cable on the small eyelets on top of the
connector that is plugged on these pins.
On top of this connector a provision is made to fix all the cables.
The models I've seen are green in color.
I can't find any information on these connectors.
Is there anybody who understand what I'm talking about and is in the
position to help?
Thank you very much.

What you appear to be describing is a solder tail Single In - Line
(SIL) female cable connector with cable anchoring. From my association
with connector components of this type solder tail has been superseded
by crimp connection and it would be almost impossible for you to find
a manufacturer for the device you want.

http://www.oupiin.com/prodindx.html#cable manufacture a very good
range of connectors for a wide variety of applications but they don't
make a SIL version of what you are after, only double row (DIL). In
the 9001 range they have crimp style DIL cable connectors in 4, 6, 10
and 20 pin versions only with cable retention provisioning using a
nylon cable tie.

I would strongly suggest that you consider using crimp pin cable
connectors such as the 4071 series header and housing arrangement if
you want SIL.

Hi Ross,
Yep it seems hard to find this old style connector.
I have to content myself with crimpable connectors and solder the wires on
it.
Thanks for the link and your comments.
Cheers,

Marco
