What is the difference between task and function in synthesi

I know some differences between task and function. For example, task
permit timing control, but function is executed in one execution time.

My question is:

What is the difference between task and function in synthesis?Task can
be sequential circuit and function can only be combinational circirt,
right?

During synthesis, task and function are considered as a module,
right?What and how do they affect synthesis results?
