Hello,
I have a relatively new budget variable digital soldering iron
station out of warranty however the tips are only lasting a few days
before loosing their solderable coating (I do use tip cleaner). I
would like to go back to Pace SensaTemp soldering iron (such as the
PS-90) tips
that seemed to last forever and will adapt the iron if the tip body
outside diameter is sufficiently small.
Can someone provide an O.D. measurement for the SensaTemp tips of the
1121-
xxx-P5 series ? The barrel of the existing iron has an I.D. of 6.2mm
(I would pack the rest with shim material). I am not too concerned
about tip temperature accuracy, just repeatability.
