Not the sort of thing you would trip over.

What is a KA compared to, say, a micrometer?

Kilo-angstrom, i.e. 0.1 um.

Did you read about the guy who ran the gun range who was going to deny
the Joker membership to his range? I got a chuckle because one of the
things he said as to why the guy bugged him was because the joker
signed his name at the end with "cheers".

The guy who ran the gun range never read usenet groups - haha.

------------------

The one-line email to which he attached the application concluded with
a curt and businesslike sentence signed in a way that further put off
the rural Colorado gun range proprietor: “Cheers, James,” according to
a copy obtained by FoxNews.com.

"That also struck me as very, very strange,” Rotkovich said. “Who says
‘Cheers?’”

I bet GM will be out of business within the next five years. TU
They have all the same problems that got them in trouble before the taxpayer
funded bailout. Except now there is no more money for the unions to steal.
T - 5 years and counting.

GM sucks.

The non-doers are called customers or users. They have a right to
complain if they can't decode your parts values.

Ready to switch to 1K2 ohms instead of 1,200 ohms or 1.2K ohms?

I assume you mean "1K2" instead of "1200" (who uses that nomenclature?) or
"1.2K".

No, but I have switched from squiggly lines to rectangles. Don't like 'em
(but they are easier to draw with PDF editing programs ;-).

Not a problem.

Ha ha, I went the other way... more expressive and easier for
sketching. And I don't feel making it easier to edit a PDF is a
compelling reason to change :)

I remember when "everythings a box" was introduced I was told the reason
was that it was hard for computers to draw angled lines!

I mark up PDFs to document oopses. They would become ECOs if I needed such
things. ;-)

Right. Early in my career at IBM we did "everything is a box" because that's
all the chain printers (1403s) could print. Ever need three-part schematics?

No, these are the Europeon style resistors rather than the American style
zigzags. Everything else is sorta normal (except ICs, which usually look like
the physical parts - also ugly).
