What files does a Cadence OpenAccess database really need

I'm trying to figure out the MINIMUM files needed to open an OpenAccess
design in Virtuoso.

Is this the minimum set of files?

1. symbol.oa --> schematic symbols
2. schematic.oa --> schematics
3. layout.oa --> layout
4. prop.xx --> cdf
5. techfile.tf --> is this needed --> tool properties?
6. display.drf --> stipple patterns and colors
7. lib.defs --> pointers

Where can I get a MINIMUM (bare minimum) OA library to test?

Thanks!
Bill

Anyone?

Where is Andrew Beckett when I need him!

I guess nobody uses OpenAccess with Cadence. Drat.

This is probably the ASCII version of the tech library (a file named
tech.db in the library directory). You can do without the ASCII
version. You can do without the tech library, but it makes little sense
for a layout (I don't know how much make sense for a schematic, but for
schematic you probably need a library of symbols to do anything
interesting; for a layout you need the tech library and a library with
some basic devices).

6. display.drf --> stipple patterns and colors
7. lib.defs --> pointers
Use cds.lib instead of lib.def (The way Virtuoso use lib.def depend on
the version and changed with time).

What's wrong with creating a library and see what you get? What do you
want to do? Some things are needed only for some tools or some
capabilities.

Er, yes, right. Of course. All those customers must be a delusion ;-)

There's really no such thing as a "minimum" set. You also listed
"prop.xx" (which is a CDB file for lib/cell/view meta data properties;
this is called "data.dm").

There are plenty of sample libraries shipped with the Cadence tools.

Andrew.
