What B1 voltage for TV - Akai CT-2104A

Hi all,

I have a circuit for an Akai TV CT-2104A but amazingly it doesn't show the
voltage for B1!

The collector of Horiz Output is marked at 112V so it's around that mark,
but it would be nice to know the proper voltage.

Thanks, Ian.

B+ should be 107 Volts
at test point TP901
Adjust VR901
It has a siemans type power supply,
If the B+ is higher than 107 Volts replace the 47ľfd 50V electrolytic in the
primary of the power supply going to the base of the chopper transistor,
check the ESR if it might be higher (and change it anyway).

this information is available on Internet.

Thank you Eric!

By the way, I noted that you said the information was available on the
Internet. Although in my searches I found many references to Akai, I didn't
get much in the way of technical information - mind if I ask where you
typically look?

Thanks, Ian.

Hi Ian
Just after I made the posting I realized I told a fib to you.
The correct information is 1/2 the information is there, (not the part about
the 47ľFd electrolytic)

put [ct2104] into google

result 27 0f 488
homepages.paradise.net.nz/erichard/s/list_tv.html
CT 2104=CT2107 (1404) 107v VR901 TP901

CT 2104=CT2107 (1404) means that is the same circuit as the CT1404 (&
basicly same TV as CT2107)

or how about [monitor tests]
result number 1 from 2,750,000

not bad from useless <meta> words (I think from memory there is no meta
words used.
